Hallo Besucher!
CO halt W114 280C and Timing?

Hello.
Got brand new carburator installed om my 1973 280C.
Now, start good now both warm and cold and nice idle.
But no "power"? Feel like wrong timing.( have new sperkpluggs, distributor and Petronic ignition). I use 98 oktan petrol, without adding lead.

I heart idle must be adjusted/set at 4500rpm, with disconected vaccum, on M110 engine? Correct???

And what is correct CO halt for M110 carburator car?

Hello,

Ignition Timing at 4500 rpm should be at 28° BTDC with vacuum hoses removed! at Idle around 0° (TDC) +-2 °

The CO should be UP to 2,5% at idle (Idle-rpm ≈ 800-900 RPM)

you can check other timings on this technical data sheet of the M110 as carburated version : 110.921

sounds like your second stage of the carburator is not working properly!?

Thanks a lot.

Could be like that. Since the carburator is brand new - perhaps there is some "base settings" that should be done on second stages?

There are lots of base settings for the carburator... maybe you should first check if the second stage works... you can put off the airfilter, then fully open the throttle.. should open at higher revs
