Hello to Greece!
The electric cable marked red in your photograph ist part of the "low level brake fluid" warning for the brake fluid reservoir.
In case of low level, an internal contact closes in the reservoir and the red warning light in the lower left of the combi-instrument (below the temperature indicator) is activated (when ignition on). It's the same light that lights up when the parking brake ist activated by pressing the pedal at the very left side.
Actually since there are two brake fluid chambers (interconnected at high brake fluid levels) there should be two such cables together with connectors. One in front (front brakes) and one in the rear (rear brakes) of the reservoir.
