Zitat:Hello!
I am a user of your STP Oil Treatment since 1967 (!).
First use was on an 8-cylinder Pontiac 1955 vintage car. I am now using it in Germany on a 230.6 (6-cylinder gasoline) )Mercedes of 1971 vintage with great success and satisfaction and recommended it to fellow drivers.
In our Mercedes Oldtimer community here in Germany we are now wondering why you specifically mention the performance of the Oil Treatment in 4 cylinder engines.
Would there be a lesser effect on 6 cylinder engines - and if so which and why?
Second question: Many of us drive vintage Diesel Mercedes and are wondering, if the Oil treatment (in the blue bottle) works also in such engines with their higher loads on the crankshaft. Looking forward to your kind reply!
Zitat:8. Are STP® products safe for two-cycle engines? four-cycle engines?
STP® oil and fuel additives have been specifically formulated for use in four-cycle gasoline engines.
Extensive testing in these engines has covered a broad range of passenger car usage and has clearly demonstrated the value of our products in these applications. However, we have not evaluated the performance of our products in two-cycle engines.
Therefore, we do not currently recommend that they be used for two-cycle applications.

Zitat:Dear Helmut,
Thank you for contacting us about your STP Oil Treatment.
We always appreciate hearing from our consumers.
The STP Oil Treatment is not recommended for use in a diesel engine.
The blue bottle STP may be used in 4 cylinder engines, however, you would only want to use half the bottle, added to a warm motor.
You would use the whole blue bottle in 6 cylinder engine.
The product has the same benefits in all gasoline powered engines no matter if it is 4,6, or 8 cylinders.
I hope this helps you.
Again, thank you for contacting us.
Sincerely, Patti Copper
